“Rebuilding Chile and Haiti” is an initiative formed in light of the recent earthquakes that struck both countries earlier this year. A great and most successful effort has been made to raise funds for the initial emergency assistance, providing aid for the rescue of human lives. However, we are now faced with a bigger challenge, that of reconstruction, to ensure long-term security and stability for the affected families, especially women and children, a process that may easily take up to ten years.
With this in mind we sought to organise a series of events that would raise funds and awareness about the situation in both countries in order to ensure our committed support to the most immediate phase of reconstruction.
We are not a charity so we set out to find suitable and reliable organizations that we support, in full knowledge that the funds go to a good cause and will effectively help the thousands of families, women and children who have tragically lost their homes and belongings.
We have carefully picked “The Lambi Fund of Haiti” and “Un Techo Para Mi País/Chile” with whom we have signed agreements, in that all funds raised by “Rebuilding Chile and Haiti” will be divided equally between the two, and destined to the reconstruction of each country. You can find out more about the work and goals of each NGO on their respective websites.
Now we turn to you for your support and participation in order to make a great success of all our events and fundraising efforts, for the cause of the affected populations of Haiti and Chile.
